How I Met Your Mother December 30, 2006
Posted by Fadil in : Entertainment , trackbackNothing cynical. How I Met Your Mother is a new comedy TV show currently airing on CBS. I have had the chance to watch every episode up to now, and I’m really liking it.
The show is principally about Ted, an architect who’s looking for love as his two best friends, Marshall and Lily, get engaged. He meets Robin, with whom he (literally) falls in love after their first date. After many twists and turns, they eventually end up having a serious relationship (spoiler 
). During his time being single, Barney is Ted’s wingman in his quest, helping him out in very unorthodox ways.
Barney is the most hilarious character of the lot. He simply cracks you up with a very particular slang full of outrageous metaphorical expressions and similes. No one knows what his job is, he’s always wearing a nice suit (and asking everyone to suit up) and he has a liking for one night stands.
Every episode is twenty minutes of sheer glee. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (my personal favourite) has set a very high standard for comedy shows, but, in my opinion, HIMYM has all that it takes to become one of the best. Mind you, the show has only got a season and a half under its belt, but it’s already very good!
